About us

Mindset is one of the UK’s leading provider of training, consultancy and support to the education and training sector. Our clients include work-based learning providers, further education (FE) colleges, government departments and agencies and large private sector companies.

Mindset is a private company, wholly owned by its directors, with no parent or subsidiary companies. Mindset is a major provider of services and products to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and the Department for Education and Skills, and as such is subject to financial audits by the LSC and the European Social Fund (ESF).

Our track record

We provide continuous support to providers in all aspects of quality improvement, mainly through contracts with local LSCs, employer organisations and the LSC National Contracts Service. This includes support in self-assessment, development planning, trainer training and organisational development.

We also provide training in many aspects of the learning cycle, and a full programme of support and assessment leading to qualifications based on the UK national occupation standards for learning and development. Over the past seven years we have successfully delivered key skills qualifications to over 200 staff in provider organisations

Design & print

Mindset is also a publishing company. We specialise in the production of training and learning materials. Most of these we use to support our training courses and consultancy services, but production of materials commissioned by commercial publishers forms a substantial part of our core business.

We can provide clients with a full documentation service including:

• the origination of scripts using our highly skilled and quality assured authors
• production of support materials and manuals that are sympathetic to the needs of end users
• management of the editorial, page design and print production processes

Software capability

Mindset has a full time team of software programmers and multimedia designers. Between them they have an extensive range of capability for design of learning software programming of management support systems and support for customers and users of Mindset’s software products.

Mindset can also provide services for bespoke software solutions to suit customers learning environments.
